Crafts to Make/Things to Do:

• Give out 'Train tickets' to kids and families who pre-register for the event
• Arrange some chairs to look like a train, add a cardboard front and cardboard wheels.
• Read the Polar Express
• Show the Polar Express Movie
• Play Christmas music while families make their crafts
• Give out and Decorate sleigh bells with ribbons
• Make really simple wrist bands with bells and ribbons
• Make and drink Hot Chocolate and serve train cookies
• Sing Christmas Songs, sing Christmas Carols, and Ring the Bells
• Decorate Gingerbread Men
• Decorate Christmas Cookies
• Make simple Christmas Ornaments
• Make Reindeer Food for Santa's Reindeer for Kids to take home
• See if you can get Santa to come and Visit
• Run the program in the evening and have the kids come in their pajamas
• Have a Raffle using the train tickets kids got when they registered for the event
• Do a simple santa or reindeer craft
• Have a Train collector or Toy shop come and demonstrate Trains
• Print and give out Polar Express Coloring Sheets
